A recent study revealed that the world could avoid many of the devastating effects of climate change this century if reducing the emission of polluting gases to the atmosphere stronger. The study, published in the British journal Nature, the first comprehensive assessment of the benefits of reducing the emission of harmful gases that can be avoided between 20 and 65 percent of the negative effects by the end of the century.
The said Arnel grass director Walker Institute at the University of Reading that "our research identifies clearly the advantages of reducing greenhouse gas emissions .. and reduce violent effects on floods and crops are an area of excellence in particular."
The study proved it can mitigate the negative effects such as the decline in the productivity of agricultural crops and exposure to river floods at between 40 and 65 percent by 2100 if it had been preserved not to exceed the high temperatures only two degrees Celsius.
And added that it can reduce the average global rise in sea levels to 30 centimeters by 2100, compared with between 47 and 55 centimeters if no action to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases blamed for rising temperature.
It can also delay some negative climatic effects for decades. Global production may fall to spring wheat by 20 percent by 2050, but this decline in yield could be delayed to 2100 if the application were imposed severe restrictions on Anavat environmentally harmful gases .
