PM stresses importance to address fraud in exams

Prime Minister Ali Mujawar stressed on Sunday the importance of public discipline in all examination centers and to address firmly the fraud attempts, as they are destructive to the educational process as a whole.
Inspecting the process of examinations for the General Secondary Certificate, which started today in the capital Sana'a and all provinces of the country, Mujawar noted that the Education Ministry and its offices and the local authorities in the provinces and districts should play their main role in addressing the fraud attempts in the examination centers.During his inspection visit, the premier was briefed by the examinations' officials on the exams of this year for both the General Secondary Certificate and the Basic Education Certificate.The officials affirmed their keenness to benefit from the past years experiences and to avoid any problems whether in exams' management or in preparing the exams' questions.The number of applicants for the General Secondary Certificate exams, which started on Sunday, amounted to 205,505 students spread over 391 examination centers.It is worth mentioning that the Basic Certificate exams began on Saturday in 2,902 centers in all provinces of the country, where the number of applicants reached 320,649 students.
