Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmalik and Djiboutian Ambassador to Riyadh
Dhiya'addin Bamakhrama discussed Tuesday coordination between the two
countries for protecting security of the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab
strait.
The two parties also discussed securing international maritime navigation in this important strait, fighting terrorism and facing security challenges in the framework of Countries of Arab and African Council overlooking the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
The meeting touched upon Safir Oil Tanker issue and Houthi militia stubbornness on rejecting the UN team's access for doing maintenance work to the tanker and draining it to avoid fatal dangers on countries surrounding the Red Sea and the security of the world trade.
Prime minister renewed government's welcome to all solutions to avoid looming environmental disaster, pointing out to keenness on coordinating efforts with the government of Djibouti for serving the security of the Red Sea and Baba al-Mandab and boosting relations between the two countries.
He thanked the government of Djibouti for its continuous support to Yemen in these difficult conditions Yemen has been going through since the eruption of the war in 2015.
For his part, the Djiboutian diplomat praised efforts of the government of Yemen for keenness on solving Safir Tanker issue to keep the regional countries away of potential environmental disaster, praising steps taken for implementing Riyadh Agreement for realizing the stability of Yemen and the region.
He expressed his full support to the new government of Yemen led by Prime Minister Abdulmalik and renewed his country's support to the legitimacy until regaining the state and beating Houthi coup.
