In its first regular session for 2009,the Executive Office in the governorate of Hadramout addressed a number of issues relating to the status of the city of Mukalla, especially after the rain and floods and the current situation in October Zone. The meeting which was chaired by Salim AL-Khanbashi,Hadhramaut governor,further addressed three assessment reports, one pertaining to the activity of the Executive Office in 2008 and the other relevant to the activity of the ministerial office of Fisheries from January to October 2008,the third report was about the evaluation report of the Directorate of Ghail Bin Yemeen. The Fisheries report indicated the quantities of marine fish caught through traditional means, which amounted to 28, 266 tons, worth a total of four billion and 236 million riyals, while the quantity of fish exported overseas amounted to 31,588 tons. In the beginning of the session,Mr governor called to intensify efforts for the current year 2009 to be the starting point for the implementation of the tasks entrusted to Ministerial Offices and service institutions in the province for the year 2009 in all areas of development. Pointing to many issues that require everyone to take responsibility towards and interact with all resolutions issued by the local authority in the Province to improve the performance of the service offices in dealing with citizens. The governor further added that the second meeting of the reconstruction fund will be held in the next few days in which decisions will be made to appoint the Director of the Executive Office in the governorate and to begin reconstructing the affected areas in the Coast ,valley and the desert of Hadramout.
