The Governor of Hadramawt reviews efforts to enhance domestic gas supplies and emphasizes the importance of ensuring a sustainable supply as Ramadan approaches.
This came during his meeting with the Director of the Yemeni Gas Company's Hadramawt office, Engineer Nidal Bin Hamel, in the presence of the Deputy Director of the office, Engineer Aref Al-Khalifi, and the Director of the Gas Prom facility, Engineer Mohammed Baqrawan. The Governor received a comprehensive briefing on current supply levels and plans to enhance them in the coming period.
Engineer Bin Hamel confirmed that work is underway to secure the arrival of approximately 300 tons of gas this week to cover the needs of filling stations in Brom, Al-Rayyan, Jul Masah, Al-Hami, and rural areas of Hadramawt. This will contribute to improving availability and stabilizing the market. He also noted the efforts made recently to modernize the Gas Prom facility, increase storage capacity, and prepare the marine gas pipeline, all of which enhance the efficiency and sustainability of the supply. For his part, the Governor of Hadramawt stressed the need to ensure a continuous supply of domestic gas and to explore alternative and additional options to secure supplies, especially with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan and the accompanying increase in demand. He directed the Joint Operations Command and relevant agencies to facilitate the movement of gas tankers coming from Marib Governorate to Hadramawt and to overcome any difficulties they may encounter at the various security and military checkpoints along the road between the two governorates.
The Governor affirmed the local authority's commitment to continuously monitoring this vital issue and working in full coordination with relevant parties to ensure that gas reaches citizens easily and without any shortages, thus contributing to alleviating their suffering and achieving supply stability in the governorate.
