President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi on Sunday received reports of the
achievements of the two committees addressing land disputes and
dismissed personnel in the southern provinces.
During his meeting with the committees' members in the republican palace
in Sana'a, the President reviewed with the members the procedures and
achievements made so far according to the republican decree of the
committees' formation and functions.
Hadi praised the efforts the
committees' members have made to date, stressing the importance of
their works, because it is pertaining to justice, rights restitution and
granting full financial and moral compensations.
The committees
are fully empowered to carry out the tasks as stipulated in the decree,
he said, emphasizing the need for full cooperation with the committees
by all ministries, establishments and authorities in order to succeed
their tasks.
Some of the committees' members talked about the
work progress. The committee of the dismissed personnel said that it has
accomplished over 90% of its tasks, adding that what is only left are
the practical procedures for final implementation to its
recommendations.
The land disputes committee said that it has
made great progress and defined the basic parameters to reach final
achievement, accentuating that work is underway to complete the all
procedures and make the executive decisions.
For achieving
reconciliation, President Hadi issued last January decree No. 2 for 2013
forming the two committees, which have to probe, in less than a year,
into all the complaints taken place between 1990 to the date of
issuance, according to the decree.
The decree obligates the
committees to publicize their all measures and decisions and to submit a
three-month report on the achievement progress to the President, who,
in return, refers them to the government for implementation.
By
the end of the deadline, they have to hand over another report to the
President contains in details their works' outcomes, recommendations and
proposals that such violations not to be occurred again.
