Planning ministry signs two agreements worth $17 mln

Two agreements worth $17 milion were signed here on Monday by the
Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation with the government
of South Korea and French Agency for Development in the field of higher
education and animal wealth development fields . The first
agreement approved that South Korea will grant Yemen a soft loan of
$15,300,00 devoted to set up and supply the Yemen-South Korean
Technical Institute for Vocational Training. It was signed by
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Karim
al-Arhabi and South Korean ambassador to Yemen Won -ho Kwan. It
is worth mentioning that South Korea allocated $100 millions to
contribute in Yemen's development efforts during 2008-2011 in which the
funds devoted to are set up infrastructural projects in higher
education and health fields . On the other hand, the second
agreement of expanding the Animal Wealth Development Project in Taiz
province and allocating $2.4 million offered by the French Agency for
Development (AFD) and devoted for interpolating the project. It was
signed by Minister of Planning al-Arhabi and the Regional Director of
AFD in Sana'a .
