Head of General Investment Authority Yahya al-Wazir discussed Sunday with the official of the Commercial Representation Office at Egyptian embassy in Sanaa, Mohammed Ajami, investment projects in Yemen and Egypt.
Al-Wazir reviewed the Egyptian investment projects registered at the Authority, which amounted to 41 investment projects at a total cost of 27.5 billion riyals and provided 1,460 jobs.
He confirmed that existing and subsequent Egyptian investments will receive the support and care of by the Authority and the government in the framework of a package of facilities and incentives contained in the Investment Law and other related laws, stressing the importance of strengthening communication in the field of investment between the countries of the Arab Spring.
There are a number of promising investment opportunities will be presented to Egyptian investors and businessmen later, and these opportunities are varied and include all fields, al-Wazir added.
He pointed out that the investment in Yemen will see a quantum leap over the coming years in light of the government trends aimed to purify the Yemeni investment environment and create a favorable and stimulating environment.
For his part, the Egyptian official affirmed the desire of Egyptian investors to invest in Yemen in the field of fisheries, industry, tourism and other areas.
Ajami pointed out that the investment environment in Yemen is still a virgin and has great investment opportunities in all fields, especially as Yemen has a distinct geographical location.
