Thousands of angry Yemenis held here on Friday a rally to protest
against the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the
Gaza Strip. More than 200000 protesters took to streets in the
capital Sana'a after performing Friday prayers to show their support
for the people of the Gaza Strip and denounce the nearly two-week
Israeli military offensive on Gaza. During the rally, they
called on the UN Security Council and international and humanitarian
organizations in the world to take practical steps and courageous
decisions to stop the Israeli genocide war against the Palestinians in
Gaza and force Israel to withdraw its military forces from Gaza and all
the Israeli-occupied territories. The angry Yemeni protesters
also called for protecting the Palestinian people and enable and
support them to reconstruct their destroyed houses, schools, mosques
and services institutions due to Israel's continuous attacks on Gaza as
well as creating an independent Palestinian state with al-Quds as its
capital. In a statement of the participants in the rally, they
urged the UN to stop the Israeli attacks on Gaza and redouble efforts
to achieve peace in the region, denouncing the Zionist aggression on
Gaza and adding that these criminal acts demonstrate that the Israel is
a hateful and terrorist Zionist entity. "A malignant cancer in
the body of humanity will be extirpated from the humanitarian world
only when the International community secures a strict protection of
international peace and security," the statement explained. "We
call for the need to put an end to this barbaric aggression so that the
World can live in peace and security, affirming that the scenes of the
bodies of women, children and elderly in Gaza are a living testimony to
the culture of the Israeli hatred and terrorism".
