PM meets UN Secretary-General envoy

Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa met here on Saturday with Envoy of the UN's Secretary-General, Jamal bin Omar, who is currently visiting Yemen.
within the framework of implementing the second phase of the transition process and political reconciliation according to the Gulf initiative and the Security Council's reconciliation 2014.
Basidwa and bin Omar asserted the importance of the good preparing for holding this conference with the participation of all political parties for it is a chance to build a new Yemen and achieving the aimed goals. They also made reference to the efforts exerted by the Government of National Reconciliation to face the consequences of Yemen's past events, as well as the needed international support to overcome the current situation in the humanitarian, development and economic areas. The premier valued the role of the United Nations (UN) supporting the finalizing of carrying out the initiative and its executive mechanism. In return, the UN envoy renewed the obligations of the UN and the international community to stand beside Yemen in order to come out the country's current difficulties.
