PM praises UAE noble efforts supporting Yemen

Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa lauded on Saturday the United Arab Emirates' noble efforts and generous aid for alleviating the humanitarian suffering in Yemen.
Foundation, Basindwa deemed such support to Yemen "is not strange or new to the UAE leadership and people. It is a continuation of the giving process of the Late Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan, who was always the first in helping Yemen." He stressed the government's willingness to provide all the necessary facilities to ease the delivery of humanitarian aid granted by the UAE to the target people in throughout the country. The delegations briefed the Premier on the food aid distributed to the displaced and most affected groups by the events occurred in Yemen last year. Over 1200 tons of foodstuffs have been distributed to the displaced and the needed people, including wheat, flour, sugar, rice, milk, cooking oil and others, Khalifa Bin Zayed Humanitarian Foundation delegation's head Juma'ah Khamis said, pointed out that the food aid comes within the directives of UAE President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Director of UAERCA's office in Yemen Khalfan al-Kendi said that the delegation visiting Yemen currently would get acquainted closely with the humanitarian situation in Yemen to identify the required aid, pointing to the goals of the campaign launched on Friday in the UAE to support Yemen.The UAERCA launched last Friday in cooperation with the Khalifa Bin Zayed Humanitarian Foundation and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Foundation a three-day donation campaign to support the humanitarian situation in Yemen. It said that the campaign aims to show the solidarity of the Emirati people's with their brothers in Yemen as well as drawing the attention to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and its repercussions and ill-effects on the most vulnerable groups of the community.
