Yemen will receive $ 2.5 billion of commitments offered by the donors during 2009-2010. Speaking to the state-run 26september weekly, undersecretary of Planning and International Cooperation Ministry Hesham Sharaf said that 2009 will be a year of investment in Yemen. Sharaf said that $ 2.5 billion allocated to support the main and service sectors such energy, electricity and technical education. Sharaf pointed out the current arrangements to provide more facilities to companies and businessmen. He affirmed talks with donors will be held during the first quarter of the new year to agree on the support program for the coming period, pointing out the new directions by Germany, china, European Union to finance development process in the country.
