President Ali Abdullah Saleh and his Sudanese counterpart Umer Hassan al-Bashir have held talks in Sudan's capital Khartoum. The
last Israeli massacers in the Gaza strip dominated the two presidents'
talks which came ahead of the sixth summit of the Sana'a Coalition
Leaders. The two leaders said Arab states must have a united
voice to bring an end to Israeli military actions against civilian and
disarmed people in Palestine. They urged the international
community to put pressure on Israel to stop military actions against
civilians in Gaza and to lift a one and a half year blockade the strip
has been under since June 2007. Moreover, they discussed the
latest developments in the African horn topped by the situation in
Somalia and effects of instability in this war-torn country. President
Ali Abdullah Saleh has arrived in Khartoum for a visit aimed at taking
part in the sixth Sana'a Coalition Leaders' summit which will start
later today.
