The Supreme Committee on Crude Oil Marketing endorsed on Sunday the crude oil sales for March 2012.
In its meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa, the committee approved selling 2.5 million barrels out of the full quantity of Masila crude oil (nearly 3.1 million barrels) to Arcadia Company at 215 a barrel plus Dated Brent. The Supreme Committee authorized the technical committee to offer the remaining quantity (600,000 barrels) to all contenders at the official price approved for March 2012 or to be deferred to April 2012 sale.
