IDB, Germany to continue to offer development aid to Yemen

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammed al-Sa'adi held Wednesday two separate meetings with each of Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Secretary and German ambassador to Yemen.
The Minister reviewed with IDB Secretary Mohammed Ennifar the arrangement's details of the 38th annual meeting of IDB Group to be held in Tajikistan in 2013, in addition to determining the timeframe appropriate for the Yemeni government to host the IDB's next annual meeting. Al-Sa'adi stressed the Yemeni keenness to participate efficiently in the IDB 38th annual meeting, hailing the assistance the Bank offered to support and enhance the development paths in Yemen. For his part, IDB Secretary renewed the Bank's keenness to continue to provide all available assistance aspects to enhance the development capacities in Yemen. On the other hand, the Planning and International Cooperation Minister held talks with deputy head of German mission in Sana'a Michael Reuss on several issues of enhancing mutual cooperation relations.Al-Sa'adi and Reuss reviewed the implementation progress of the German-funded projects in the country as well as the German future assistance to Yemen. The German diplomat stressed his country's keenness to keep on presenting the political and development assistance to Yemen.
