Vice President meets foreign envoys for talks

Vice President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi at the presidential palace in Sana’a met on Saturday a number of foreign ambassadors and two International and regional envoys to Yemen.
During the meeting, Hadi reviewed with the ambassadors of the permanent members of the UN Security Council, the European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to Yemen, Secretary General of the GCC Abdul-Latif Al Zayani and UN envoy Jamal bin Omar, tireless efforts to implement the peaceful and democratic solution to Yemen’s current crisis. The Vice President said that the first and primary goal of the newly appointed national unity government is to get out of the current impasse and circumstances. "We have identified key indicators of the government’s works, especially with regard to the urgent necessities", Hadi said.He also called on the permanent members of the Security Council, the European Union and the GCC to provide assistance and support to Yemen in order to end the current political, security and economic crisis.GCC Secretary General Al Zayani stressed the GCC commitment to continue providing support to the Yemeni people. For his part, UN envoy Bin Omar said the formation of the national unity government was an advanced step to end the crisis, adding that the UN Security Council is closely watching these practical steps of the implementation of the Gulf brokered initiative and its mechanism
