The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Prof Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has welcomed with deep satisfaction the signing of the Gulf Cooperation Council's Initiative to end the crisis in Yemen.

In a press statement last night, Prof Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has called upon all political parties in Yemen to implement the agreement and to honour their commitments in order to facilitate peaceful transition of power in Yemen for the country's security and stability and the prosperity of its people.The OIC Secretary General has commended the pivotal role played by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz, in bringing to a successful conclusion the power handover agreement on Yemen.

The Governor of Hadramaut, who also commands the Homeland Shield Forces in the province, announced the successful takeover of the military camps.
