The number of pilgrims traveling to the Holy city of Mecca from Wednesday to Friday evening reached 552. The pilgrims passed though Al-wadiah land border post heading to Jeddah then to the Holy city of Mecca. This year the number of pilgrims was higher compared to last year..
According to Port Alwadiah General Manager Hussein Awadd bin Taleb's statement to (SABA), these huge numbers of pilgrims are boarding private buses coaches and International transport means. They get cleared in an easy manner through land border post in all operating facilities by the people concerned. This serves the pilgrims of the Holy land first as well as keeping with the desire of all, to develop and improve services at the departures and arrivals area of the port . He pointed out that the flow of pilgrims through the port continues and is in large numbers.
