President Ali Abdullah Saleh delivered this evening an important national speech to the Yemeni people at home and abroad on the occasion of the 49 th anniversary of Sept. 26 Revolution Day At the beginning of his speech, President Saleh congratulated all citizens of the country on this momentous occasion, saying that this occasion came while our beloved country is going through a very critical and serious stage.
He noted out to the criminal incidents carried out by elements that do not feel the responsibility, but running behind power.He, meanwhile, thanked the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and friends in the United States for their cooperation with Yemen in fighting against al-Qaeda terrorist elements ant those outlaws who back them.He went on to say: We are committed to the Gulf initiative to be signed by the authorized Vice President under the presidential decree to hold dialogues and to sign the initiative and its operational mechanism to get the homeland out of this dangerous impasse.At the end of his speech, President thanked personnel of the armed and security forces who offer sacrifice for the sake of the revolution, the republic, freedom and democracy..
