VP chairs GPC's general committee meeting

Vice President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi presided on Tuesday over an extraordinary meeting of the General People Congress (GPC)'s general committee.
The meeting aimed to discuss the current developments in the national arena in the various security, political, economic and commercial fields.
During the meeting, the Vice President reviewed the outcomes of the meetings, contacts and consultations at the national, regional and international levels, which is made based on the authorization of the President Ali Abdullah Saleh and in accordance with the Gulf initiative.
He said the President's authorization stipulated setting up an executive mechanism to overcome the current crisis in Yemen and put the country's interest first.
Hadi briefed the general committee's members on the details of the meetings, contacts and consultations as well as the stances of the States of Gulf Cooperation Council, European Union and the USA. He indicated to the last escalation, saying it made the crisis more risky.
The general committee will continue its meeting on Wednesday..
