Shehen port customs collects One billion and 332 million riyals in customs revenues, compared to previous year which was one billion and 787 596 000 riyals.
Cargo Customs Director Faisal Naji Al-mahmashi told Yemen News Agency / SABA / that the reason for the decrease in customs duties and other revenues collected at Shehen custom point was attributed to current political crisis currently taking place in the country. The situation negatively affected the flow of goods through the port. He pointed out that the port received during the first half of this year 6888 car that entered the treb-tick and Insurance system compared to 5168 cars during the same period last year. Al-mahmashi pointed out that the shehen Customs registered 3603 cars compared to 4497 during the same period. The officer pointed out that exempted custom value amounted to one billion and 724 676 000 riyals, compared to two billion and 581 244 000 riyals, while the total value for the temporary entry is billion and 534 193 000 riyals, compared with one billion and 457.73 million riyals.
