Mukalla-based Islamic relief announced the formation of volunteering teams to
provide help and assistance to families affected by the floods and rain which Hadhramaut province witnessed in the past few days, as well as limit the damage caused to these families throughout the province and establish a database in order to provide help and assistant as stated by Ali Abdullah Al-Hamed, director of the Assembly.Mr Al-Hamed said "at the beginning we extend our sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and the injured as a result of the disaster suffered by the province, we,as a charitable association realized that it is our duty in such tragedy that we have to do something which prompts the formation of the volunteer corps in all departments that have begun recording data of the damage, and in the city of Mukalla teams working around the clock financed by citizens to clean drinking water, as well as the distribution of ready meals to the affected peole and shelters, "said Mr Al- Hamed , saying," We in the Islamic Assembly attach great value to all efforts to help in alleviating the great grief of every quarter, especially the inspection visit of His Excellency Ali Abdullah Saleh, President of the Republic as well as his directions for the competent authorities to expedite the assistance possible, and applaud the good efforts of the Saleh Charitable Society the first to contribute to the lifting of the suffering of the victims of the floods.
