The Public Prosecution has completed actions to face 23 indictees ,in the crime of killing and wounding a number of citizens on March 18 in Sana'a University neighborhood, with evidence of proof ,in addition to hearing to a number of witnesses in the case.
The prosecution has declared the plaintiffs from relatives of the victims in order to submit their suit before the prosecution as dictated by the Law, an official source at the Attorney General's Office told Saba.The source pointed that the prosecution is following up the relevant agencies of search and investigation to implement the compulsive arrest warrants issued by the prosecution against the other defendants.Moreover, the source denied inexact news by some media allege that the public prosecution has already freed some of the defendants in the case, pointing out in this regard that the prosecution submitted a request to the Court of Appeal to extend the imprisonment period of 15 defendants pending the case.The Court of Appeal issued Wednesday a verdict to extend the imprisonment of six of them for periods of between 30-45 days pending investigation, and to provisionally release the other nine by a guaranty, which forced the public prosecution to appeal in the release of two of them before the Supreme Court, the source made clear.
