The volume of mutual trade between Yemen and the Arab states has increased in 2010 to YR 947.5 billion with an increase of YR 111.4 billion compared with 2009 with a growth rate of 13.3 percent
The Central Organization of Statistics (COS)'s showed in a recent data that Yemen's exports to the Arab states in 2010 reached YR 200.7 billion compared with YR 181.6 billion in 2009.While Yemen's imports from Arab states reached YR 746.8 billion compared with YR 654.4 billion in the same period. According to the data, UAE ranked the first among the Arab states in terms of trading partner with Yemen by YR 444.3 billion as Yemen's imports from UAE reached YR 357.3 and Yemen's exports to UAE reached YR 87.2 billion. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ranked the second by YR 219.1 billion, containing YR 165.5 billion for Yemen's imports from Kingdom and YR 53.5 billion for Yemen's exports to Kingdom.Kuwait ranked the third where the volume of mutual trade reached YR 95.1 billion, including YR 12.9 billion for Yemen's exports to Kuwait. The data indicated that the trade balance between Yemen and the Arab states witnessed in 2010 an increase in favor of Arab states reaching YR 546.1 billion compared with YR 472.7 billion in 2009. The data also indicated that the UAE ranked in the first list, then Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in exporting Yemeni products which contain fish, squid, shrimp, honey, coffee, some fruits and agricultural products.. .
