Women's march urges US to support democracy in Yemen

A women's march roamed on Saturday some streets in the capital Sana'a in support of the constitutional legitimacy and the GCC initiative to address the political crisis in Yemen. The participants in the march, organized the women's sector in provinces of Aden and Sana'a, affirmed their rejection of any attempts to coup on the constitutional legitimacy by some political forces. When arriving at the headquarters of the U.S. embassy in Sana'a, the participants handed over a letter to the U.S. ambassador, in which they urged the U.S. to support the democracy and the peaceful rotation of power in Yemen through elections.In the letter, they confirmed adherence of Yemen women to the constitutional legitimacy and their support to President Ali Abdullah Saleh, who has obtained people's confidence through ballot boxes.In a speech in the march, the participants demanded young protestors to return to the right path and the rule of reason and logic and not be a tool of destruction and sabotage in hands of the opposition parties, who try to take over power through their bodies and pure blood. The speech pointed out that the time of coups has gone in light of the freedom and democracy that Yemen enjoys.
