EU welcomes the GCC initiative for resolving the crisis in Yemen

The European Union (EU) has announced its welcoming of the initiative by the states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for solving the Yemeni crisis.
The EU Foreign Affairs Council, in its statement issued at the
conclusion of a meeting held in Luxembourg on Wednesday, said the EU
welcomes the GCC states initiative and fully realizes the role the GCC
can possibly play as a mediator.In its statement the Council has reiterated the EU call on the Yemeni government and all Yemeni parties for an immediate beginning of a constructive, comprehensive and complete dialogue with parties of the opposition and the youths. The statement emphasised readiness of the EUY to support this process.
