Yemen tightens security measures in Abyan

Abyan Governor Saleh al-Zawari affirmed on Saturday the importance to enhance security performance to strictly confront any attempts to disturb security and stability in the governorate.
This came in a meeting of Abyan security committee chaired by al-Zawari in the presence of all security and military leaders in the governorate.
The committee discussed all possible means to reinforce the security measures in the different areas of the Abyan.
It finally approved taking a number of actions aiming to improve the level of security performance.
Earlier, a security official in Abyan governorate said that at least three al-Qaeda terrorists were killed in Lawder district.
He added that the security authorities have managed to apprehend six terrorists in the district.
