President Ali Abdullah Saleh returned on Tuesday the capital Sana'a
following an inspection visit to a number of provinces, including
Hajjah, Hodeidah, Taiz, Aden, Lahj and Dhala'a. In the last
place of his tour, President Saleh visited on Tuesday Dhala'a province,
where he was briefed by officials in the province about the operation
of implementing a number of projects in some districts of the province.
Speaking to members of the local council and executive offices
of Dhala'a, President Saleh congratulated them on the Revolution Days
of 26 September and 14 October, expressing happiness to visit the
province. President Saleh said that the province had been
developing for 18 years, adding "the difference became enormous in both
urban development projects and services that have been being completed
in the province". "No doubt security and stability help
improve atmospheres of developing and carrying out more service and
developmental projects to advance the standard of living of citizens in
the province". President Saleh pointed out that people in the
Dhala'a are keen to defend the revolution and unity and contribute to
reconstructing and developing the interests of their province away from
any exaggerated storms created by those who have lost their interests
in the country. President Saleh pointed to the experience of
electing governors and its positive results, adding that those
elections would enhance plans to move towards a system of local
authority. "Everybody has to participate in the upcoming
elections of Parliament to be held next year through platforms for
gaining the confidence of voters regardless of the political parties",
said Saleh. The President ordered the concerned bodies to
quickly finalize the project of a highway linking the two provinces of
Dhala'a and Taiz and establish a residence for the disabled people and
a residence another for orphans in Dhala'a.
