Al-sheher District commissioner met with solid waste management experts from Yemen (G. T. Z). .
The team is developing an assessment studies necessary for the
implementation of solid waste management and ways of dealing with it by
using modern method.The project is being implemented in Al-sheher
city - Hadhramaut provinceThis came during a meeting of Al-sheher District commissioner Mr. Hussein Mohamed Badahia Al-amoudi with German project experts on solid waste management-Yemen (G. T. Z) under the chairmanshp of National expert Mr.Abdul- Salam Lutfi Al-mahdi. The experts breifed Al-sheher Director-General on the next stages to be undertaken by the German project in implementing the draft of solid waste management in the District and updating of data, information, determining equipment needed for the project and labor. Also dividing the city into zones and Squares as well as determining the timetable for implementing the work and to identify staff, supervisors and managers for the sites. For his part, District Director-General commended the support provided by the German project in implementing this vital project for solid waste management and utilization of modern scientific methods. He appreciated the efforts made by the experts technical team when they several field visits in the district to gather information in order to complete thire datas and locate garbage collection sites removal sites so as to move them from streets, public places and gatherings, . Badahia went on saying that this vital project will protect the health district of citizen and workers in this area and commended the efforts of those in the hygine field within the Directorate when they provided full project perceptions for the establishment of waste management, this shows that their efforts in introducing this project on the ground, especially in the city of Al- Shahr which is experiencing rapid urban expansion.
The Meeting was attended by members from Al-sheher Local council governing body ,Mohammed Khamis Saad Mubarak and Ahmed Omar masjidi and Director- District Health and Population Dr. / Ali Lutfi Sawwad..
