National Front renews calling the JMP to return to dialogue

The national Democratic Front (NDF) in Yemen has reiterated it call on leaderships of the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) and all political parties to stop media campaigns and protests and non-peaceful and unlicensed demonstrations and the return to the dialogue table to tackle the crisis on basis of political agreement and accord and in line with the initiative by President Ali Abdullah Saleh and Yemen’s clerics. During the opening of the general conference of he NFF party in Sana’a on Wednesday, the party’s Secretary General Nasser al-Nusseiri called on the masses of the Yemeni people to not respond and be dragged behind the narrow partisan tendencies, regionalist and tribal and fanaticism and to stabilize the principles of unity, solidarity and cooperation among all segments of the society in service security, peace and development and to practice their rights according to the law. Al-Nusseiri also called on all the national forces and civil society organisations to rally behind the political leadership represented by President Ali Abdullah Saleh to defend, side by side with the armed forces and the security, unity, sovereignty, security and stability. The NDF party also called on the government to intensify its efforts in continuing implementation of the comprehensive reforms in the manner that the citizens would feel in the short and foreseeable term the improvement of their living conditions and also to reconsider the futile policies and plans and to adopt effective policies and programmes for the improvement of quality of different services offered to the citizens. It asked the government to exert more efforts for combating terror and extremism and fighting corruption and smuggling and addressing issues of poverty, unemployment and eradication of illiteracy. Al-Nusseiri has reiterated adherence of the NDF to the principle of dialogue and rejection f the option of resorting to the street to deal with problems because that forms a great danger on the security, economy and unity of Yemen.
