Minister of Fisheries Muhammad Shamlan met on Sunday with a number of representatives of Saudi fishing companies and discussed the possibility of establishing a Yemeni-Saudi company to regulate marketing Yemeni fish at Saudi markets. The company will be in charge of streamlining the fish trade between the two countries and improving the quality of fish products, said Shamlan, as he pointed out that investors from both countries will launch the project.Yemeni fish, fresh or frozen, are exported to Saudi Arabia randomly, and the company will work to add costs of production and packing in the best interests of both countries, said Shamlan.Investment in the fisheries field is open to the company, especially in areas such as fish transplantation and industries, he added.
