Prof. Dr. / Ahmad Omar Bamshmos - rector of Hadramout University of
Science and Technology-Inaugurated the students summer camp in the
university conference hall this morning. This summer camp will continue over two weeks with a capacity of 500 students. At the inauguration ceremony which was initiated by a recitation from the Holy Quran, the rector delivered a speech in which he pointed out that the inauguration of the camp comes in implementation of the directives of His Excellency President / Ali Abdullah Saleh - President of Yemen considering this an honor for Hadramout University , which gained fame at home and abroad.In the meantime stressing that the university is organizing this camp to exploit the times of the students in the practice of many scientific activities and the process leading to refine and develop their talents and creations in the fields of science and knowledge . He added that the university exceeded the 6 million riyals budget set by the Ministry of Youth and Sports .Affirming that the university's budget amounted to seven million riyals and 300 thousands in the university funded from its own resources to achieve the aims and goals of the camps. Calling on students to make best use of the various activities of the camp to cultivate the values of love and deepen the spirit of loyalty to the homeland and to reject extremism through awareness lectures delivered by a number of specialist teachers. Dr. Bamshmos affirmed that the university seeks to provide all the requirements of scientific and technological development through the establishment of many new buildings and the development of curricula and teaching staff capabilities in order to upgrade education at the university, calling for the disposal of selfishness and hatred and not paying heed to calls for demolition of of success and development. He pointed to the achievements of the unversity and the guidance and support obtained at home and abroad, emphasizing that the university is going to witness development projects on major installations and premises, contending that the real investment is the human element, which is the cornerstone for a community development programme. The student Mohammed Said Aldoeel has delivered a speech on behalf of the students participating in the camp, thanking the leadership of the university and the supervisory committee in charge of the implementation of the camp for their efforts for the success of its effectiveness. The inauguration ceremony was attended by d. Abdullah Hussein Al-Jafari - Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Khulaki - University Secretary General, Dr. / Salem Mohammed bin Shamlan - chairman of the supervisory committee of the camp and a number of general directors of the offices of ministries and faculty deans, professors and university academics.
