Budget and investment program in Hadhramaut coast discussed

The executive office of Hadramout governorate held a special session today in Mukalla .The session was chaired by Mr Salim Ahmed Al-Khanbashi - Governor of Hadhramaut and head of the office and in the presence of Mr Saeed Bayameen,Secretary-General of the local council.
The session was devoted to discussing the proposed plan of the investment program for the next year 2009.That includes all directorates in the coast of Hadramout. The proposed cost will approximately be 48 billion and 495 million and 638 thousand Yemeni riyals. That is to finance 584 projects including 218 projects for the local authority with total amount of one billion ,316 million and 967 thousand riyals. And 366 projects with investments of the central authority with total amount of 47 billion and 178 million and 671 thousand riyals. The proposed projects will be distributed in 399 projects under implementation with total cost amounting to 36 billion ,317 million and 907 thousand riyals and constitute about 75% of total investments and 185 new projects with a cost of 12 billion ,177 million and 734 Riyal with 25% of the total proposed investment.
The Executive Office also reviewed the items of the operational budget for the next year. At the end of the session, the governor emphasized the need to preserve and improve the public revenues for its positive reflection on the implementation of development projects and development in various districts . He also stressed the importance of monitoring and supervising the implementation of these projects and adherence to technical specifications, maintenance and preservation as a gain and an accomplishment for the province in general.
