About 625 people were killed and other 4578 were injured in traffic accidents across the country in the first quarter of 2010, the state-run almotamar.net reported on Friday.

The traffic authorities recorded 3420 road accidents during the period including 1687 crashes, 1173 running over and 523overturning accidents and 37 falls.High speed, wrong overtaking, not abiding traffic rules and deriver negligence remained main reasons for the casualties.
