U.S. congresswoman Sheila Jackson
paid on Wednesday a visit to the childhood and youth media center, toured its
divisions and was briefed on its activities in various governorates.
Minister of Youth and Sports Hamoud
Ubad accompanied and introduced her to the role of the government in supporting
the center within the national strategy for childhood and youth.
Jackson also familiarized with training
divisions and programs as well as the role of the center in training the Yemeni
youth in various media production arts with which they can address their
issues.
She
stressed that the activities focus on raising awareness among the youth about
basic factors for peace among countries and dismissing extremism, affirming
that childhood, youth and women programs are among essential factors for peace
