AFESD chairman in Yemen soon

Chairman of the Board of Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) Abdul Latif al-Hamad is to begin a three-day official visit to Yemen on Tuesday.
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi said that the visit aims to be briefed on the implementation progress of some the projects funded by AFESD.
During the visit, two financing agreements will be signed, al-Arhabi said.The first agreement is to finance the third phase of the rural road project at a cost of $ 51 million and an agreement of Sana'a flood protection project worth $ 24 million, according to the minister.Al-Arhabi pointed out that the AFESD is one of the main partners of Yemen in development area.He praised the contribution of AFESD to strengthen the development, affirming the government's keenness to enhance areas of cooperation with the Fund.
