Prime Minister Ali Mujawar said on Sunday that the government would work to enable women to get their rights fully through the implementation of anti-violence against women policies.
In his speech during the 2nd National Conference on Violence against Women, organized by the National Commission for Women for two days, Mujawar considered this conference a strong and clear message against violence against women.The premier said, "This conference comes a day after the meeting of the Supreme Council of Women which is concerned with setting policies aiming to continue the gender integration in all joints of the political, economic, and social life and represents an institutional development".He noted that the government and semi-governmental configurations that have arisen during the last period to care for the present and future of women came in parallel with the formations of Women, which created and founded within the framework of civil society.Moreover, Mujawar explained that the commitments expressed by the third five-year plan, and the general program of the government, would be further strengthened through policies of the fourth five-year plan.He noted that the celebration of Yemeni women on the occasion of the 8th of March is a pride for the achievements have been achieved for the Yemeni women, which reflect the level of women presence in all decision-making positions and in the level of representation in the elected bodies.All this confirms that women have transcended the stage of wishing to more serious stage which enables them to start new gains added to the gains and achievements made before", Mujawar added.
