Cabinet discusses President's directives on parliament's recommendations

The Cabinet discussed on Tuesday the President's directives on the parliament's recommendations relating to the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism and the emphasis on the government to present the necessary draft amendments on the national legislations related to this convention In this respect, the cabinet instructed the agencies concerned with implementation of the directives on the recommendations, including the rapid delivery of the required legislations for discussion and referring them to the parliament to complete the necessary constitutional procedures.On the other hand, the cabinet approved the loan agreement initially signed between the government and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development on January 16, 2010 to contribute to funding a project to protect the city of Sana'a from flood damage with amount of KWD 7 million, equivalent to $ 24 million.The cabinet directed the concerned ministers to follow up the completion of the necessary constitutional procedures to ratify the agreement.The $30 million project aims to establishing infrastructure and necessary facilities to discharge flood waters safely and effectively and protect the population from the adverse impact of floods by completion of the new part of the main water road in the city, in addition to channels and pipes and other construction works and technical services and the institutional support.
