– Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Karim al-Arhabi held
official talks here on Sunday with the U.S. ambassador in Sana'a Stephen Seche
The talks reviewed the progress in
implementation of the U.S. aid agreement offered to Yemen during 2010-2012,
especially with regard to the future support programs relating to the projects
of social development and good governance supposed to be launched in the second
half of 2010.
The two sides also discussed issues
related to bilateral cooperation programs within the U.S. aid and increasing
the U.S. aid to Yemen.Moreover, they dealt with the
ongoing preparations for convening of the donor conference in the Saudi
capital, Riyadh, and aspects of the U.S. support for the Yemeni government
efforts that aim at reconstructing the war-affected areas in Saada province.Al-Arhabi
praised the level of bilateral cooperation between Yemen and the U.S.,
affirming Yemen's keenness to boost the joint cooperation frames between the
two friendly countries
