Central Bank raises interest rate on Y.R savings deposits to 12%

Cash management ommittee in the Central Bank of Yemen on Sunday approved the to raise the interest rates on deposits of the Yemeni riyal from 10 to 12%.
irector of Public Relations at the Bank Yahya Mohamed Al-kastban told Yemen News Agency (SABA) that the objective of the Commission's decision is that, depositors of Yemeni Riyals gets a return on their savings, especially as interest rates on other currencies is low or non-existent ... He pointed out that inflation witnessed a significant decrease in the Yemeni market.
