A Higher Council for Motherhood and Childhood (HCMC) revealed that the
funding gap in the programs and activities for children and youth
valued at about (99 million dollars).
In a special report on the summary of the implementation of the National Plan for Children and Youth, the General-Secretary of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Dr. Nafisah Hammoud Al-Jaefi said "there are political, institutional and financial gaps hinder activities and programs for children in Yemen",
"Despite the existence of the resources earmarked by the government and donors, the total financial gap in the age from (0-5) still constitute a value 12 million, 134 thousand US dollars", she added.
Al-Jaefi pointed out "there is a financial gap for the upcoming three years relating to the age from (6-14) that valued at about 43 million and 964 thousand US dollars".
For the financial gap for the age from (15-24), she said it was estimated 43 million 175 thousand dollars, indicating the total value of the financing gaps of the programs and activities of children and youth in Yemen for the three age groups up to (99 million 255 thousand 150 US dollars).
