Marib governor Arif Azzuka got acquainted on Monday with executive
steps and measures the Yemeni-Gulf Investment Company has made for
constructing two cement factories here and the projects of constructing
iron and steel factory and a railway linking Marib, al-Jawf and Shabwah
with a total cost around $ 780 million.
During the meeting which was attended by delegations from the Complont Company and British Consultative Company as well as Gulf and Yemeni businessmen,the governor confirmed his keenness on supporting investment environment
Meanwhile, the Yemeni businessman Ahmad al-Shalif, the supervisor on constructing the two cement factories, clarified that these projects would provide more than 6000 jobs to Yemeni labors, indicating that the executive steps for the two factories would start during next September and October.
