A slight earth tremor of 3.9 degrees on the Richter Scale struck on Tuesday Sama area in Dhamar province at 9:25pm local time.
Head of National Seismological Observatory Center Jamal Shalan told Saba that the shake occurred south-east of Dhamar city between longitudes (44.440) to east and (14.536) to north at depth of 6 kilometers, pointing out that this shake is a light and does not cause any damage.In Monday afternoon, a shake of 2.6 degrees on the Richter Scale was recorded by the seismological digital monitoring stations of the center at 2:44 local time, He indicated.Early on Tuesday morning, the seismological stations also recorded an earthquake of 4.1 degrees on the Richter Scale in Hidan, Saada province, at 1:00 am local time.Shalan pointed out that the center installed last week a field seismological observatory station in Sama area, where the center's stations recorded since last November a crowd of 34 seismic events ,the highest of which was on December 5 at 2.8 degrees on the Richter Scale.
