Oil and Development Committee in the Parliament discussed in a meeting,
on Sunday, with Minister of Oil and Minerals Khaled Bahah new trends of
oil sharing production agreements especially in gas sector.
Deputy Minister of Oil and Minerals, Abdul-Malik Alamah stated to Saba that the meeting aimed at new trends of the agreement and improvement put on the compacted conditions of contracts.
He said that the new trends would encourage the foreign companies to invest in gas sector which is considered a key wealth of the nation.
According to the trends, the production companies have right to use gas after getting previous permissions from the oil ministry in fields of re-injecting gas in the depth of the earth or use it as fuel for their electrical generators, he said.
