GCC emphasizes support for Yemen’s unity, security and stability

Meeting with Yemen’s foreign minister Dr Abu Bakr al-Qirbi, who conveyed a message from President Ali Abdullah Saleh, in the Kuwaiti capital on Sunday Sheikh al-Subah said that Kuwait would exert all that it could efforts with the states o the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for supporting Yemen in its efforts for achieving stability and development and facing the elements of sabotage on its land.The Emir of Kuwait also received a message from President Saleh addressed to the Kings and Emirs, the leaders of the GCC in their 30th summit. The GCC summit deals with developments of events in Yemen , efforts of the Yemeni government for tackling them under the ceiling of the Yemeni unity and the republican regime and the call of the President for dialogue with all parties for tackling all of the political and economic situations.Minister al-Qirbi valued the firm stand of Kuwait and the states of the GCC concerning Yemen’s unity and stability and its right to confront the challenges that face it and to face up the elements of sabotage and rebellion. He also praised the support offered by the GCC states for Yemen in various development areas.On the other hand the Yemeni the foreign minister met the GCC secretary general Abdulrahman bi Hamad al-Attiya. Al-Attiya said he had discussed with minister al-Qirbi the relations between the GCC and Yemen and issues of common interest, especially relating to the projects of development and ways of activating and deepening those relations in the manner meeting ambitions and hopes of the GCC and Yemeni peoples.Al-Attiya affirmed the GCC states full support for unity, security and stability of Yemen and for all thee efforts aimed at enhancing dialogue and giving priority to the comprehensive interest.
