Deputy SP: Democracy in Yemen become necessity of life

Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Mohammed al-Shadadi has pointed out that democracy in Yemen has become necessity of life for the Yemeni citizen.
This came in his speech delivered in the 4th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) held in Bandung ,Indonesia, during December 7-10 ,under the motto ' Role of Asian Parliament in promoting democracy to achieve prosperity, peace and justice in the region'.Al-Shadadi, who headed the Yemeni parliamentary delegation participating in the session, reviewed in his speech the parliamentary experience in Yemen and the role of parliament in enhancing democracy via enacting legislations aiming to strengthen pillars of the political and democratic approach and achieve the sustainable development, social justice and permanent peace.On the sideline of the session, al-Shadadi met with Speaker of Indonesian Parliaments and some leaders of the parliamentary delegations participating in the session.During these meetings, a number of topics of common concern were reviewed including developing the bilateral relations between the Yemeni parliament and the parliamentary assemblies in each country.
