Yemen, ITC talk on cooperation, WTO accession

Minister of Industry and Trade Yahya al-Mutawakil discussed, on the margins of the 17th Session of the WTO Ministerial Conference concluded on Wednesday in Geneva, with Director of the International Trade Center (ITC) the cooperation between Yemen and the center.
The two sides dealt with the support of some productive sectors and the project to prepare a national strategy for trade and exports during the next year.On the conference sideline, al-Mutawakil also held meetings with a number of trade ministers in the countries which are negotiating bilaterally with Yemen within framework of Yemen's accession to the WTOIn the same context, al-Mutawakil met with the U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk and Canadian Minister of International Trade Stockwell Day, discussing with them the ways to finalize negotiations with these countries within the completion of Yemen's accession to the WTO in the next year.
