Yemenia crew bodies arrive in Sana'a

Eight bodies of the crew members of the ill-fated Yemenia plane that crashed into the Indian Ocean on June 30 arrived in Sana'a on Tuesday, while remains of three crew members are missing. Chairman of Board of Directors of Yemen Airways Captain Abdul Khaliq al-Qadi made it clear that the bodies ,arrived on board of Yemenia flight, are of Captain Khalid Hajeb , Assistant Captain Ali Atif , three Yemeni hosts , two Moroccan hostesses and an Ethiopian hostess.Al-Qadi indicated the five bodies of Yemeni crew members would be buried in Aden City except body of the host Hamdi Wazea would be buried in the capital Sana'a , noting that the bodies of Moroccan hostesses would be sent to Morocco and body of the Ethiopian hostess to Addis Ababa.He added that the bodies of crew which have not been found are of the Yemeni engineer Ali Salem and the Indonesian and Filipino hostesses.For his part, the head of the Yemenia delegation accompanying the bodies, head of the air services, Wazir al-Ya'abori pointed that the Yemenia delegation took part in funerals held in Comoros Sunday for other victims from the crash.About 54 bodies were buried in Moroni City, the capital of Comoros, last two days, al-Ya'abori said adding that the delegation met with Comorian President Ahmed Abdullah Sambi and discussed with him resuming the Yemeni airlines "Yemenia" flights to Moroni.Comorian President who attended the burials said that whatever the cause of the June 30 crash that killed 152 passengers and crew members, the incident remains an act of God.On Saturday, a Yemenia jetliner carried 203 families to Moroni for the burials of their relatives who died in the crash off Comoros.The only survivor from the tragedy was a 14-year-old French teenager.The Yemenia has compensated the families of the victims, 20.000 euros each.
