The Fisheries Ministry is expected to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Yemen Industrial Investment Company and its partners to implement fishery investment projects at an initial cost of $ 150 million on Wednesday. The projects which would be implemented by the Yemeni company, the French Fish Group Euromer, and the Irish Company (LTD) will include developing, rehabilitating and operating the Jaheef fishing port in Aden as well as training in fish transplantation.Establishing a local fish market that would be connected to the global fish market and enabling Yemeni fishermen of artificial fishing are among the projects.The memo will also call for providing aid for the ministry in areas such as research, marketing, fish industry and trade and boat manufacture including helping the ministry to get world-standard fishing boats as well as technical assistance including training Yemeni fishermen to improve traditional fishing.
