Yemen partakes in ASSECAA meetings, World Food Security conference

Chairman of the Shura Council Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani left Sana'a on Tuesday heading for Morocco's capital ,Rabat, to take part in the 4th and 5th sessions of the Association of Senates, Shura and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab world (ASSECAA) to be held on November 12-13. Speaking to Saba, Abdul Ghani made it clear that his participation in the association meetings comes within Yemen's keenness on enhancing its position and role in developing the cooperation fields between Africa and the Arab world in the political, economic and cultural areas. He added that he would hold talks with Chairman of the House of Counselors in Morocco and its officials. On the other hand, Abdul Ghani will also head Yemen's delegation participating in the High-Level Conference on World Food Security scheduled to be held at Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)'s premises in Italian capital, Rome during November 16-18. In this respect, Abdul Ghani said that Yemen's participation in this conference would represent a good chance to present Yemen's point of view related to the mechanisms to ensure mobilizing a strong global effort so as to contribute to finding effective solutions to the food security threats. He indicated that he would hold bilateral meetings with heads of delegations participating in the conference to talk about the conference issues and other issues of common concern between Yemen and each country.
